GMDSS & AIS system designed by IMSARC for the Sultanate of Oman
We can provide independent expert advice on procurement of key components of maritime safety and security systems such as:
- Search and Rescue (SAR);
- Organization, management, establishment and design of Rescue Co-ordination Centres;
- Coastal Surveillance Systems (CSS);
- Advice and procurement of equipment such as Command and Control, Incident Management Systems, GMDSS communications, Automatic Identification of Ship (AIS) systems.
- Small Vessel Tracking; Reliable Real Time Vessel Monitoring & Tracking
- Advice on the preparation and drafting of Plans of Operation, operational and support facilities and procedures, and the development of national contingency plans, procedures manuals and major emergency plans;
- ISPS Code, port security assessments.
As the former Assistant Chief Coast Guard and Chief Operations Officer in the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). John is well known for his contribution to the worldwide advancement of Search and Rescue. He is now the Principle Consultant of IMSARC and also provides consultancy services to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the European Commission.
