We consider it important to ensure that design of a Coastal Surveillance System provides the National organization responsible for security and safety of national coastlines and EEZ with adequate coverage and detection of specified targets, using the latest proven technology in an open architecture. Design of the coastal radar system must require: low maintenance, user friendly operation, turn-key delivery and expandability of system in the future to accept integration with additional technology such as AIS and allow for technology evolution over a twenty year project life.
