Coastal Surveillance Systems
We consider it important to ensure that design of a Coastal Surveillance System provides the National organization responsible for security and safety of national coastlines and EEZ with adequate coverage and detection of specified targets, using the latest proven technology in an open architecture. Design of the coastal radar system must require: low maintenance, user friendly operation, turn-key delivery and expandability of system in the future to accept integration with additional technology such as AIS and allow for technology evolution over a twenty year project life.
Effective coastal and maritime surveillance systems require broad knowledge of the conventions and regulations that have an impact on domestic rights and Exclusive Economic Zones
Placing national issues such as smuggling, fishery protection, search and rescue, illegal immigration, piracy and unlawful acts at sea in this context enables us to design and implement effective integrated systems.
